Jennifer Ann Mattox Allen

Jennifer Ann Mattox Allen, 27, of Jennings, Florida died Sunday, November 6, 2011 at South Georgia Medical Center after a courageous battle with Lupus. She was born on April 13, 1984 in Reidsville and had lived in this area for several years. Jennifer was a member of House of Joy where she was active in the children's ministry. She enjoyed being with children and involvement in their activities. Jennifer was a good listener and an open minded person. She loved travelling and shopping. She was very loyal and loved her family deeply. Jennifer was the financial coordinator with Robinson Family Dentistry in Hahira.

Survivors include her husband, Alan "Pete" Allen of Jennings, Fla., her parents, Roy and Jennifer Mattox of Jennings, Fla., her grandmothers, Crystal Whidden of Jennings, Fla., Violet Mattox of Jacksonville, Fla., aunts and uncles, Bridgett and Poly Barraza of Jennings, Fla., Janet Mattox, Jeff and Susan Mattox all of Jacksonville, Fla., her cousins, Dania and Rio Barraza, Chance Mattox, Junior Mattox, Brandon and Jessica Ryan, her nieces Madeline Robinson, Christina Antonucci, Jennifer Robinson and Elizabeth Robinson, mother in law, Barbara J. Allen of Valdosta, sisters in law and brothers in law, Leann and Kit Robinson of Hahira, Sheryl and Chris Anderson of Wauchula, Fla., Cathy and Robbie Ethier of Lexington, TN. She was preceded in by her grandfathers, Wimpy "Pa" Whidden and Albert "Papa" Mattox, Sr., father in law, Clarence Edward Allen and a nephew, Jaedon Robinson.

Funeral services will be held at 2pm, Saturday, November 12, 2011 at the McLane Lakewood Funeral Home Chapel, 3119 W. Marion Ave., Lake Park, GA 31636. Pastor Kelly Barcol will officiate. Burial will follow in Riverview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Friday from 6-8pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Lupus Foundation of America, 2000 L Street, Ste.410, Washington, DC 20036. The family would like to express appreciation to Dr. William Tidmore and Dr. Ven Chiang and their staff for their love and care for Jennifer during her illness.
