Jean Sayers

Jean Sayers, 81, of Valdosta passed away at her residence on January 10, 2016. She was born September 14, 1934 in Radcliff, OH to the late Nathan and Della McKinney Jordan. Mrs. Sayers had lived in this area since 1960. She was a former nurse and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. In her spare time enjoyed cooking and sewing. She was fun loving and adored her family.
Mrs. Sayers is survived by her two sons and one daughter-in-law, Gregg and Martha Sayers of Valdosta, Jim Sayers of Vinton, LA; five grandchildren, Scott and Donna Sayers of Quitman, Chuck, Jr. and Kellie Sayers of Rockledge, FL, Gretchen Sayers of Los Angeles, CA, David Sayers of Valdosta, Dylan Sayers of Duson, LA; one great grandchild, Sammie Sayers of Rockledge, FL; several nieces and nephews and a large extended family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Byron David Sayers; three sons, Chuck, Marshall, and Grant Sayers.
Services for Jean Sayers will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 in chapel at Carson McLane Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until Service time on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Cat Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
