Jean Little

Jean Little, 64, of Valdosta died Friday, April 13, 2007 at the Lakehaven Nursing Home. She was born in Kirkwood, Missouri on December 29, 1942 and was raised and educated in Minneapolis where she attended the University of Minnesota. As an adult, Jean moved to St. Louis, Missouri and later to the Denver, Colorado area. In 1996, she moved to Valdosta. Jean loved traveling, camping and downhill skiing. She was a longtime member of Southland Church where she was a deaconess who volunteered in many aspects of church life.
Art was her passion and in recent years she was deeply involved in the local art community and illustrated several books. Mrs. Little recently retired as Secretary to the President of Valdosta State University where she had worked for ten years.
Jean was “a lady among ladies” who touched many people’s lives. She was a gentle soul who cared deeply about others. She inspired kindness and creativity in those around her.
Jean’s last wish for us all is “Love, love and more love.

Survivors include her husband, Willie A. Little of Valdosta, three stepdaughters and two stepsons in law, Damita and Earl Redmond of Jonesboro, GA., Gail and Donnie English of Columbia, MD. and Brittany Little of Ft. Worth, TX., her father, Phillip A. Micheau of Aurora, CO., three brothers two sisters in law, Joseph A. and Jeanette Micheau of Aurora, CO., Phillip C. and Frances Micheau of Sierra Vista, AZ. and Gary Micheau of St. Louis, MO., her sister, Patricia Anderson of St. Louis, MO., a host of aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers and sisters in law. She was preceded in death by her mother, Alquinston Micheau.

Funeral services will be held at 6pm, Wednesday, April 18, 2007 at Southland Church with Pastor Doug Griner officiating. The family will receive friends at the church following the service.
