Jean “Jeanette” Lankford Mueller, 80, of Valdosta, passed away on Monday, April 2, 2018 at Fellowship Home in Nashville, Ga following a lengthy illness. She was born on October 6, 1937 in Tampa, FL, to the late Eugene and Clara Ward Lankford. She attended Westside Baptist Church in Valdosta. She was a homemaker and loved working in her yard and caring for her family.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Brad Smardo of Citrus Heights, CA; sons, James Mueller, Jr. (Deborah) of Ray City, and Gregory M. Mueller of Carmichael CA; four grandchildren, Justin Fletcher, Michelle Mueller, Gabrielle Smardo and Elizabeth Smardo; also surviving are two sisters and a brother-in-law, Eva Rae Lankford Wilkes, and Gloria Lankford Edwards (Jim). In addition to her parents, Mrs. Mueller is preceded in death by husband James Ralph Mueller and a son Eugene Scott Mueller.
Graveside services for Jean “Jeanette” Mueller will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 7, 2018 in the mausoleum chapel of McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens with the Reverend Frank Gupton officiating. Burial will follow in Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Mausoleum Chapel.
