Jean Holmes Greene

Jean Holmes Greene, 69, of Valdosta died Wednesday, February 4, 2009 at South Georgia Medical Center after a short illness. She was born in Valdosta on September 25, 1939 and was a member of the First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Clement C. "Sonny" Greene, Jr. of Valdosta, one daughter, Ann Greene Harley of Jennings, Fla., one son and daughter in law, Clay and Holly Greene of Valdosta, grandchildren, Jessica Brooke Morris and her husband, Kirt Morris, Amelia Grace Greene and Audrey Jean Greene all of Valdosta, two aunts and one uncle, Eileen and Harley Langdale, Jr. of Valdosta, Betty Cox of Thomasville, sister in law, Shannon Sadler Hull of Palm Beach, Fl. and several cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, James Freeman Holmes and her mother, Jeanette Cox Holmes.

Funeral services will be held at 11am, Saturday, February 7, 2009 in the chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home with Rev. Thomas Mason, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
