Janet Marie Rigg

Janet Marie Rigg 74, of Valdosta passed away Saturday, January 11, 2020 at Langdale Hospice House following a lengthy illness. She was born in Alexandria, VA., on August 21, 1945 to the late Fred and Violet Helme Gossett. Mrs. Rigg was retired from Eye Associates of Valdosta. She volunteered as a Girl Scout Leader and served as Youth Leader for First Christian Church.
Mrs. Rigg is survived by her husband of 55 years, Michael Lee Rigg of Valdosta; daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer
Tompkins (Bryan) Leesburg, GA; sons and daughters-in-law, Christopher Rigg (Susan) and Brendan Rigg (KristiJo) all of Valdosta; five grandchildren, Brittany Rigg, Tyler Lewis, Sally Lewis, Cassie Rigg, and Colton Rigg; brother and sister-in-law, Frank Gossett (Carol) of Fresno, CA.
Memorial services for Mrs. Rigg will be held at 5:00 pm Saturday, January 18, 2020 at First Christian Church with Rev. John Chick officiating.
