Jan Phillips Castleberry

Jan Phillips Castleberry, 63, of Valdosta died Thursday, July 17, 2014 at South Georgia Medical Center after a short illness. She was born on July 29, 1950 in Bainbridge, Georgia, to the late Robert Hawthorne Phillips and Gwendolyn Dale Phillips, had lived in Valdosta for most of her life. Mrs. Castleberry was of the Methodist faith and was a receptionist for Griner Automotive Group.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Richard D. Rogers (Stacy) of Huntsville, AL; Robert A. Rogers (Stephanie) of Hahira, GA; a daughter and son-in-law, Holly D. Mink (Mitch) of Valdosta; 5 grandchildren, Lauren Rogers and Travis Rogers of Huntsville, AL; Hannah Rogers and Abigail Rogers of Hahira; and Cooper Mink of Valdosta; one sister and brother-in-law, Gwen Cloninger (John) of Louisville, TN. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by an infant brother.

Memorial services will be held at 4 p.m., Sunday, July 20, 2014 in the McLane Chapel with the Rev. Bob Ellis officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2 until 4 at the funeral home.
