James William (Jim) Dew, 75, of Valdosta died Sunday, April 19, 2015 at Community Hospice in Jacksonville, FL. He was born on August 11, 1939 in Latta, SC to the late James Dudley Dew and Eva Powers Dew. Jim was the owner of Valdosta Wrecking Company and served on the Dasher City Council.
He is survived by his daughter and son in law, Cindi and Norman Mackay, three grandchildren, Lexie Mackay, Ally Mackay and Maisie Mackay all of Jacksonville, FL, his brother in law, Wayne Futch , two nephews, Bruce Sumner and Greg Sumner all of Valdosta. Mr. Dew is preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn Futch Dew, sister in law and brother in law, Doris and Roy Sumner.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 23, 2015 at eleven a. m. at the McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Entombment will follow.
