James Westly Reynolds

James Westly “Jim” Reynolds, 85, of Valdosta passed away Sunday, February 5, 2023 at Doctor’s Hospital in Augusta, GA due to injuries sustained in a house fire. He was born on June 19, 1937 in Hugo, OK to the late James Monroe Reynolds and Lucille Coffman Reynolds. Jim served honorably in the United States Air Force for twenty-one years from 1954-1975. After that he was property manager for Bank of America. Jim was a member of Pleasant Way Baptist Church. He loved the Oklahoma Sooners, the Atlanta Braves, animals and especially his cat “Dude”.

Jim is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Julia Ruth Tucker Reynolds and his daughter, Mary Elizabeth Reynolds who perished in the house fire and is survived by his daughter, Rebecca Ann Reynolds of Leesburg, GA, three grandchildren, Cory Reynolds (Kearson), Cassie Reynolds Cothren (Matthew) and Dalton Reynolds (Haley), great grandchildren, Josh, Aubree, Zoie, Brilee, McKynlee, William, Daisy and Brayson.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 18, 2023 at eleven a. m. at Pleasant Way Baptist Church with Reverend Bill Watson officiating. Condolences to the family may be expressed online at www.mclanecares.com.
