JAMES WALLACE (JIMMY) PARKER, 66, of Hahira died Wednesday, May 11, 2005 at his home. He was born on August 9, 1938 in Brooks County to the late Floyd Edwin and Vera Mae Williams Parker and was a lifelong resident of Brooks and Lowndes counties. Mr. Parker was a member of the Bethany Baptist Church. He loved life and attending the Morven Music Hall.
Survivors include a daughter and son in law, Amy and Brian Tomlinson of Hahira, two grandsons, Austin Fiveash and Dodge Tomlinson both of Hahira, two sisters and a brother in law, Jean and Chuck Belcher of Morven, Carolyn Sadler of Valdosta, one brother, Windell Parker of Gainesville, Ga., his loving companion, Barbara Cooper and her family of Valdosta, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 11am, Friday, May 13, 2005 in the chapel of Martin/McLane Funeral Home in Hahira with Pastor Jimmy Smith of New Covenant Church officiating. Burial will follow in the Campground Cemetery in Morven. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6:30-8:30pm at the funeral home.
