James Preston Croft

September 5, 1939 — January 12, 2005

James Preston Croft, 65, of Hahira, died Wednesday, January 12, 2005 at South Georgia Medical Center after a lengthy illness. He was born in Berlin, GA on September 5, 1939 to the late James Wilson and Eddie Bernice Crawford Croft. Mr. Croft was retired from Weyerhauser in Adel.

He is survived by his wife, Laura Croft of Hahira, two daughters and sons in law, Resa and Jimmy Vinson, Lisa and Destry Sorrell, two sons and one daughter in law, Berry and Dona Croft and Chris Zipperer, six grandchildren, Grayson Vinson, Cody Sorrell, Desiree Sorrell, Shad Sorrell, Tori Sorrell and Jennifer Mann, two great grandchildren, Zackary Mann and MacKenzie Mann.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 15, 2005 at two p. m. at the graveside in Friendship Cemetery. The family will receive friends from six until eight p. m. Friday at the funeral home. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to United Hospice, 101 Northside Drive, Valdosta, GA. Condolences to the family may be expresses online at www.mclanefuneralservices.com.
