James Larry Chaney

James Larry Chaney, 67, of Hahira, passed away Saturday, February 27, 2017 at the Langdale Hospice House.

He was born April 23, 1949, in Valdosta, a son of the late James W. and Doris L (Forehand) Chaney. Larry worked as a Maintenance Supervisor for Packaging Corp of America, some of his hobbies included fishing, grilling, and riding his motorcycle. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, taking his camper to Keaton, and anything that involved salt water.

Mr. Chaney is survived by his daughters, Brooke Chaney, and Christa Condon (Chris); grandchildren, Clayton and Caleb Condon; brothers, Mitchell Chaney, and Kelvin Chaney (Martha); sister Judy Michaels (Danny); uncle, Durell Forehand; his good friend, Doug Mason.

The visitation for Mr. Chaney will be held from 6-8 PM on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at the Martin McLane Funeral Home in Hahira. Family and friends will gather at 12:15 PM on March 1, 2017 at Martin McLane Funeral Home to go in precession to Riverview Memorial Gardens for a 1:00 PM committal service.
