James Kenneth (Kenny) Flythe, 80, of Valdosta died Friday, February 21, 2020 at South Georgia Medical Center. He was born on August 30, 1939 in Lowndes County to the late James Edward Flythe and Eunice Wade Flythe. Kenny owned and operated Flythe Well and Pump Service and served in the United States Air Force. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and enjoyed his pigeons.
He is survived by his wife of fifty seven years, Becky Flythe, two sons and daughter in law, Dale Flythe and Mark and Penny Flythe all of Valdosta, four grandchildren, Jarrett Flythe, Jamie Flythe, Katie Flythe and Jake Flythe, three brothers, Harry Flythe (Johnna) of Hahira, Richard Flythe of Barney, Greg Flythe (Martha) of Valdosta, two sisters, Cathie Griffin (Charles) of Barney and Kay Fender of Nashville, and numerous nieces and nephews. Kenny is predeceased by his parents, James Edward Flythe and Eunice Wade Flythe Williams, brother, Wade Flythe and sister, Carol Sue Gibbs.
Graveside funeral services will be held Monday, February 24, 2020 at four thirty p. m. at McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens with Reverend Beau Washburn officiating. Burial will follow. The family will receive friends Sunday from four until six p. m. at the Carson McLane Funeral Home. Condolences to the family may be expressed online at www.mclanecares.com.
