James Junior Loyless, Sr., 72, of Valdosta died Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at South Georgia Medical Center. He was born in Tifton, Georgia on December 14, 1939 to the late Jessie William and Maeomie Harnage Loyless and had lived in Valdosta for the past fifty four years. Mr. Loyless was a member of the Victory Baptist Church and the owner and operator of James Loyless Automotive Repair. He loved spending time with his family and friends. Mr. Loyless coached Little League Baseball at the Boys Club for many years.
Survivors include his beloved wife of fifty two years, Sandra Ward Loyless, his daughter and son in law, Deidra and Jeff Frier, his son, James Loyless, Jr. all of Valdosta, five grandchildren, Kimberly (Jonathan) Montgomery, Allen Frier all of Valdosta, Hunter Loyless, Hayden Loyless and Harrison Loyless all of Hahira, two great grandchildren, Asher Montgomery, Graceanna Montgomery, his sister, Elizabeth Davis of Valdosta, two brothers in law and three sisters in law, Anne Ward Mitchell, Dr. Steve and Debra Ward all of Valdosta, Orland, Jr. and Charlene Ward of Cook County, numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Peggy Kinney, Thelma Smith and Jessie Mae Ingram.
Funeral services will be held at 11am, Friday, October 12, 2012 in the chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home with his brother in law, Dr. Steve Ward officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Quitman. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6-8pm at the funeral home.
