James Edward Cunningham

JAMES EDWARD CUNNINGHAM, 74, of Valdosta died Monday, April 14, 2008 at his home. He was born on November 12, 1933 in Concord, Tennessee to the late R. M. and Ruth Kirby Cunningham and had lived in this area most of his life. Mr. Cunningham was retired from the United States Air Force and a retired Hospital/Nursing Home Administrator. He was a member of the Crossroads Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing, putting smiles on people's faces and willing to help others in need.

Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Lawanna Cunningham, daughter and son in law, Tammy and Dennis Thomas, son and daughter in law, Tim and Glendon Cunningham, grandchildren, Hayley Blair Thomas, Clifton Blayne Thomas and Ashlyn Blythe Thomas all of Valdosta, two cousins, Mary Kirby and Harold Kirby both of Tennessee.

A private funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 15, 2008 in the chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home with burial to follow in Westview Cemetery in Nashville.
