James E. Wallace

James E. Wallace, 72, of Valdosta, died Saturday, May 1, 2010 at his residence. He was born on July 24, 1937 in Fort Wayne, Indiana to the late Robert Edward and Marie Olinger Wallace. Mr. Wallace was retired from the United States Air Force and was of the Lutheran faith.

He is survived by his wife, Karen W. Wallace of Valdosta, his children and their spouses, Sandra Lynn and Kenneth Thompson, Patricia Gayle Wallace and Jimmy Robert Wallace of Fort Wayne, IN, David Matthew and Jennifer Wallace of Charleston, SC, Robert Wade Binion of Valdosta, Judy and Bert Simpson and Timothy Roy and Sheila Binion of Lakeland, GA and Steven Douglas Binion of Valdosta, twelve grandchildren, Shane Allen Wallace, Derrick James Wallace, Travis Aaron Wallace, Cody Douglas Wallace, Reyna Joy Crews, Karen Nichole Manuel, Amber Rose Binion, Timmy Joe Binion, Jessica Binion, Robert Kyle Simpson, Georgia Kennedy Wallace and Stephanie Marie Binion, fifteen great grandchildren, two sisters and one brother in law, Jill Burkhart and Judy and Henry Bolton of Fort Wayne, IN, and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Wallace is preceded in death by his parents, one son, Richard William Binion and two grandsons, Jason Robert Wallace and Chrsitopher Paul Manuel.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 8, 2010 at eleven a. m. in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home with Reverend Bob Willis officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow at Wesley Chapel Cemetery near Berlin, GA. The family will receive friends from six until eight p. m. Friday at the funeral home.
