James E. (Jamie) Delk, Sr., 51, of Valdosta, passed away Wednesday, April 23, 2014, at the Langdale Hospice House.
He was born January 17, 1963 in Glen St. Mary, FL. For many years Jamie was a Lead Press Operator at Colonial Bag. He loved his wife, children and grandchildren. Jamie was an Atlanta Falcons and Florida Gators fan, and enjoyed fishing and the beach. He was always laughing and had a great sense of humor.
He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Delk of Valdosta; three children, Jennifer Delk, Jamie Delk, Jr., and Rachel Delk, all of Valdosta; a daughter-in-law, Andrea Delk of Lake Park; five grandchildren, Corbin Delk, Stormy Delk, Joshua Hill, Jr., Ashton and Caleb Mason; two sisters, Debbie Hale and companion Ernie Nettles of Lakeland, and Sandra Delk of Mcclenny, FL; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews; and special friends, Vickie Delk of Valdosta, Gene Rowan of Lowndes County, Ricky Crews of Jacksonville, and Gina Hankins of Quitman. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas E. Delk, Sr. and Rachel Poole Aul; a son, Jason Delk; and a brother, Tommy Delk, Jr.
