James David Eunice

James David Eunice, 17, of Valdosta drowned while duck hunting at Ocean Pond in Lake Park on Saturday, January 15, 2011 and was found on Monday, January 31, 2011. James was born in Athens, Georgia on June 16, 1993 and had lived in Georgia, Massachusetts, Ohio, Guam, Illinois and South Carolina. James was a senior at Valdosta High School where he was a member of the football and baseball team.

Faithful, loving and trustworthy are just a few words to describe James. When James wasn't on the football or baseball field you could find him either at church, spending time with his family and friends, hunting or fishing. Wherever he was his presence was definitely known. James was very involved at Crosspointe Church, a 4.0 student involved in the international baccalaureate program at Valdosta High School. He was a member of FCA, a football player, baseball player, a guitarist, a hunter, a fisherman, a faithful friend, wonderful son, an amazing brother, but the title he treasured most was obedient follower of Christ.

Survivors include his parents, John and Tammy Eunice, his brother, John Eunice, his sister, Lindsey Eunice, grandparents, Wallace and Betty Allbritton all of Valdosta, Rita Eunice of Folkston, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, J. L. Eunice, Jr.

Funeral services will be held at 1pm, Saturday, February 5, 2011 at Crosspointe Church with Pastor David Rogers and Mr. John Klimko officiating. Entombment will follow at Riverview Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. The family will receive friends on Friday, February 4, 2011 at Crosspointe Church from 5-8pm.
