James (Bently) Parker, 61, of Hahira died suddenly on Monday, June 22, 2015. He was born on June 17, 1954 in Lowndes County and was a lifelong resident. He was a Baptist and employed with Plumbing Service Company. Bently enjoyed NASCAR, visiting the mountains and enjoyed grilling for family and friends. He was a member of the Sons of the Legion in Madison, Florida.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Parker of Hahira, his daughter and son in law, Kristin and Rocky Rothrock of Hahira, his two granddaughters who were the joy of his life, Ava Rothrock and Ali Rothrock both of Hahira, his brother in law , Leon Freeman and his fiancé, Lynn Chaney, special cousins, Cheryl and Jerry Radney all of Valdosta.
Funeral services will be held at 2pm, Thursday, June 25, 2015 in the chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home with burial to follow in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
