Jacqueline A. Downing

Jacqueline A. Downing, 70, of Valdosta, died on Sunday, November 26, 2023 at home. She was born December 9, 1952 in Valdosta to the late George W. and Doris Pearl Downing. Jacqueline was a retired office manager, but her real passion was her dogs, including her baby now Lily. She had several over the years and each one was like her child. While Jacqueline loved to stay home and keep house, she was always excited to go out to eat with her family. In fact, her most enjoyable moments came from spending time with those dear to her. She also loved watching the Animal Channel and reading romance novels.

She is survived by her brother, Lloyd Downing of Jacksonville, FL; two nephews, Jeremy (Stacey) Downing of Valdosta and Jason Downing of Pittsburg, PA; niece, Melodee Banes of Jacksonville, FL; sister-in-law, Vanessa Causey of Valdosta; two great nephews, Samuel DeMaranville and George Downing of Valdosta; a great niece, Adeline Downing of Valdosta, as well as other extended family and friends. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Donald Tustin; parents, George W. and Doris Pearl Downing; brother, George “Tinker” Downing; and sister-in-law Joyce Booth Downing.
