Jackie Lee Mckenzie

Jackie Lee McKenzie, 66, of Hahira, passed away Sunday, November 3, 2013, at his home.

He was born March 24, 1947 in Atlanta, a son of the late Willie O. and Virgie Mae Hawkin McKinzie. "Papa" loved his grandchildren, and everybody loved him.

Jackie is survived by his wife, Sandra McKenzie of Hahira; four children, Herbert Harris and wife Candace of Dasher, David Harris of Daytona, FL, Jamie McKenzie and wife Christy of Orange Park, FL, and Christi McKenzie and her fiancé Jeff of Grantville; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, including two very special grandsons, Elijah McKenzie and Zach McKenzie; one sister, Millie Jo Roche of Houston, TX; two brothers, Howard McKenzie of Houston, TX and Johnny McKenzie of Atlanta; and Sandra's extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents, several brothers and a sister.

The funeral service for Mr. McKenzie will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 8, 2013, at Community Church, Adel, with Pastor Jason Burns officiating. Interment will follow at Wilkes Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the McKenzie residence, 315 River Trace Road, Hahira, Wednesday evening and Thursday. Condolences may be conveyed to the family at www.mclanecares.com.
