J. Bernard Judd

J. Bernard Judd, 79, of Valdosta, died at his home on Saturday, February 27, 2010. Born in Nashville, Tennessee, on April 25, 1930, he was the son of the late Edgar Floyd and Foribel Kline Judd. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and a graduate of the University of Arkansas. Mr. Judd operated his own vending machine business. He was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church and was an avid photographer.

Survivors are his wife of 49 years, Thelma Splawn Judd of Valdosta; two sons and a daughter in law, Bruce Judd of Charlotte, North Carolina, Charles and Evelyn Judd of Valdosta; grandchildren, Leslie Judd and Philip Judd both of Valdosta; a brother, William Floyd Judd of Midland, Texas and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mr. Judd will be held on Tuesday, March 2, 2010, at 3 p.m. in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home. Dr. Ken Alford and Rev. Charlie Scarbrough will officiate. Burial will follow at McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Tuesday at the funeral home for one hour prior to the service.
