Isom Ander Thornton

Isom Ander Thornton, 69, of Echols County, passed away Sunday, January 6, 2013, at Langdale Hospice House.

He was born April 11, 1943 in Echols County, a son of the late Johnny and Eunice Walker Thornton. He loved people and enjoyed working in his yard.

He is survived by three sisters, Idona Thornton and Clara Pearl Thornton of Echols County, and Nancy Thornton of Warner Robins; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one sister, Mary Simpson; two brothers, Leonard Thornton, Sr. and Marcus Thornton; three brothers-in-law, RJ Thornton, Albert Thornton, Sr. and Willie Lee Thornton.

The funeral service for Mr. Thornton will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 12, 2013, at Sardis Baptist Church with Pastor Edgar Wood officiating. Interment will follow at Carter Cemetery.
