Inez Mcknight

Inez McKnight, 77, of Valdosta, died on Saturday, January 29, 2022, at the Crestwood Nursing Home following a period of declining health. She was born on November 2, 1944, in Graceville, Florida to the late George and Vera Mae Williams Harrison. Mrs. Inez retired from Walmart where she had served as the department manager for infants and toddlers. She loved to spend time with her family and enjoyed cooking, quilting, and fishing. She also loved beautiful flowers and was a bird enthusiast who ensured her bird houses were always ready to provide shelter for her winged friends.
Mrs. Inez is survived by her husband, Luther McKnight of Valdosta; her daughter, Tammy Raemmler, and her son, Marcus McKnight both of Valdosta; her grandson and his wife, Patrick and Julisa Raemmler of Atlanta; her granddaughter and her husband, Jennifer and Carmelo Burgos of Newport News, Virginia; a sister, Annette, and a brother and sister-in-law, Marlon Wayne and Julia Harrison, all of Dothan, Alabama. Mrs. Inez was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Eldridge White.
A memorial service for Inez McKnight will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, February 5, 2022, at Greenwood Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Audubon Society. Condolences to the family may be conveyed online at www.mclanecares.com. Carson McLane
