Inez Hambrick

Inez Hambrick, 95, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, January 13, 2011, at Langdale Hospice House with her loving family at her side, after a short illness.

She was born October 5, 1915 in Crisp County, a daughter of the late Thomas M. and Alice Giles Warren. She was hardworking and lived a simple life, raising her children and grandchildren and helping her husband operate their farm.

Mrs. Hambrick was a member of Naylor Baptist Church. She was a loving and caring mother and grandmother, and she enjoyed quilting, canning and working with her flowers.

She is survived by her four children, James and wife Julie Moore of Nashville, TN, Mary Moore Bennett of Hahira, Tommy and Linda Hambrick of Lake Park, and Norma Jean and husband Robert Corbett, Jr. of Lake Park; seven grandchildren, Wade (Janet) Bennett, Karen (Rodney) Cain, Jeffery Bennett, Robert Corbett III, Danny (Jana) Corbett, David (Tosha) Hambrick, and Jennifer (Calvin) Leach; ten great-grandchildren, Wade Jr., Jason and Kelly Bennett, Justin and Dustin Cain, Courtland and Katlyn Hambrick, Dylan and Ivy Corbett, and Trent Leach; two great-great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren of Nashville, TN; two sisters, Veora Mygrant of Orange Park, FL, and Ethel Byrd of Vero Beach, FL; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Gordon Hambrick, two brothers and three sisters.

The Funeral Service for Mrs. Hambrick will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, January 15, 2011, in the Chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home with Rev. Ross Hudson officiating. Interment will follow at Joe Howell Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
