Inell "Nell" Fulford Douglas, 79, of Lake Park died on Sunday, April 28, 2013 at South Georgia Medical Center following a brief illness. She was born on August 24, 1933 in Lax, Georgia to the late Warren W. and Narcis Thompson Fulford. She retired as a critical care registered nurse from St. Vincent's Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida and has been a resident of Lake Park for the last 8 years. She had a true servant's spirit and was known for having a heart that was bigger than her body. She had many interests including researching family genealogy, cooking, working in the yard and serving with the Baldwin, Florida chapter of the Eastern Star where she was a life member. Ms. Nell had an infectious laugh and lived life to its fullest. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints.
Survivors include her sister, Rose J. Tucker of Lake Park and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband C.B. Douglas, two children, Bill Lott and Sherry Lott and four siblings, Myrtice Purvis, William (Bud) Fulford, Ruby Gray and Vernell Ammons.
A graveside service for Nell Douglas will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 2, 2013 at Oakland Cemetery in Waycross, Georgia.
