Idora Willis, 92, of Valdosta, died Thursday, February 9, 2017 at Presbyterian Home in Quitman. She was born on April 18, 1925 in Lowndes County to the late Johnnie Orin Dasher and Lillie Alice Stallings Dasher. Mrs. Willis was a retired farmer, worked at South Georgia EMS, Harve' Benard Clothing and Fads 'n Fashions. She was a member of Ousley Baptist Church.
Mrs. Willis is survived by her son and daughter in law, Tommy and Paula Willis of Valdosta, granddaughter, Hannah Willis of Valdosta, brother and sister in law, Johnnie G. and Nan Dasher of Dasher, sister, Betty Jo Dasher Cone of Valdosta and numerous nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents, her husband, William L. (Bill) Willis, two sisters, Juanice Dasher Wilkinson and Dorothy Dasher Parham Webb and granddaughter, Heidi Willis.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 12, 2017 at two p. m. in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home with Dr. Clyde Stokes officiating. Burial will follow at Ousley Cemetery. The family will receive friends from six until eight p. m. Saturday at the funeral home. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to Ousley Baptist Church building fund, 8654 Ousley Road, Valdosta, GA 31601.
