Idella Tomlinson North

Idella Tomlinson North, 96, of Hahira, passed away Sunday, February 11, 2007. She was born on February 9, 1911 in Clinch County, GA to the late Louis and Flora Bell Grooms Tomlinson. Mrs. North was a homemaker, a member of Morningside Baptist Church and was active in 4-H. She was married to the late Louie R. North for 67 years.

Mrs. North is survived by four sons and daughters in law, Ronald Morris and Shirley North of Athens, GA, Howard and Gladys North of Callahan, FL, Benny and Valenda North and Larry and Karen North of Hahira, one daughter, Lyniece North Talmadge of Atlanta, two sisters and one brother in law, Jean and Louis Dineson of Savannah and Ila Mae Jones of St. Mary’s, GA, three sister’s in law, Grace Tomlinson of Homerville, Lois Connell of Lakeland and Ludie North of Valdosta, twenty three grandchildren, Carlton North, Roger North, Karen North, Sondra Ray, Wanda Kay North, Deeann Fava, Heather Ferrguson, Stanley North, Angela North, Brittany North, Elizabeth Talmadge, Robert Talmadge, Cleo Talmadge, Joshua North, Matthew North, Daniel North, Micah North, Johnathan North, Ethan North, Rebecca North, Sarah North, Steven North and Caleb North, eleven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, granddaughter, Shannon Harrell and great granddaughter, Kylie Rae Harrell.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 14, 2007 at ten a. m. at the Martin McLane Funeral Home in Hahira with Reverend Wayne Robertson officiating. Burial will follow in Wayfare Cemetery in Echols County. The family will receive friends from six until eight p. m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
