Ida Jane Steen Wolfson

Ida Jane Steen Wolfson, 79, of Valdosta, died on Saturday, June 12, 2010 at Smith Northview Hospital after a lengthy illness. Mrs. Wolfson was born in Buffalo, NY to the late Lue Pearl Steen and Mary Emily Rainey Steen. She was a Registered Nurse and worked at several hospitals including Deaconess Hospital in Cincinatti, Ohio. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Survivors are her son and daughter in law, David and Cheryl Wolfson of Valdosta; her grandchildren, Wilby Wolfson and his wife, Camille of Peachtree City, Molly Wolfson of Davie, Florida, Chappell Wolfson of Boone, North Carolina, Emily Wolfson of Valdosta, Josh Owens of Jacksonville, Florida, Justin Owens of Valdosta; great grandchildren, Skylar Wolfson and Aiden Wolfson of Peachtree City; and a cousin, Betty Grad of Palm Beach, Florida. Mrs. Wolfson was preceded in death by her husband, Al.

A private memorial service will be held for Mrs. Wolfson at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society of Valdosta/Lowndes County, P.O.
