ICYPHENE PARRISH DYKES, 97, of Valdosta died Sunday, March 13, 2005 at her home. She was born on February 20, 1908 in Adel to the late Cyrus and Selina Rentz Parrish and was a lifelong resident of this area. Mrs. Dykes was a member of the Forrest Park Church of Christ.
Survivors include three daughters and two sons in law, Lena Bosch of Valdosta, Virginia A. and Johnnie Dasher of Valdosta, Sue and John Warren of Quitman, eight grandchildren, Bart Bosch of Valdosta, Gordon M. Dasher of Newberry, Fla., Donald Dasher of Newberry, Fla., Nancy Folsom of Tallahassee, Fla., Tom Warren of Macon, Cliff Warren of Macon, Julie Barham of Valdosta and Dee Dee Peek of Quitman, 11-great grandchildren, 2-great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, G. Clifton Dykes, a son, James Ira Dykes, a granddaughter, Meloda Ann Dasher, three brother, Owen Lee Parrish, Alvin J. Parrish and Arlie G. Parrish, five sisters, Bessie Futch, Essie Ogletree, Pearly Register, Cleta Dunn and Eula Mae Parrish.
Funeral services will be held at 2pm, Wednesday, March 16, 2005 in the chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Sunset Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6-8pm at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Forrest Park Church of Christ Building Fund, P. O.
