Hubert T. Warmack, 87, of Lake Park, passed away on Saturday, June 29, 2013, at South Georgia Medical Center after a short illness.
He was born October 11, 1925 in Quitman and had honorably served in the U.S. Navy during World War II aboard the U.S.S. Wasp. Mr. Warmack retired from Owens-Illinois as Superintendant of Maintenance; he loved golf and enjoyed people. He was of the Baptist faith and was a loving husband and father.
In addition to his wife of sixty-three years, Mary Evelyn Warmack of Lake Park, he is survived by two sons and two daughters, Tommy Warmack of Conyers, Cheryl Diane Knight of Brooks County, Debra Jane Roberts and husband John of Panama City, FL, and Michael H. Warmack of Lake Park; two grandsons, Joseph Michael Warmack and Jacob Thomas Warmack, both of Lake Park; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, several brothers and a sister.
The Graveside Service for Mr. Warmack will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 3, 2013, at Oak Hill Cemetery, Quitman, with Rev. Bob Willis officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the McLane Lakewood Funeral Home, Lake Park. Condolences may be conveyed to the family at www.mclanecares.com.
