Hubert "Buddy" Taylor

Hubert “Buddy” Taylor, 77, died Saturday, May 11, 2007 at South Georgia Medical Center. He was born in Lynchburg, VA in 1929 to the late Robert and Elizabeth Taylor and had lived in Valdosta since 1981. Mr. Taylor retired from a career in the US Air Force and had served during the Korean Conflict and Viet-Nam Era. He was a Baptist.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Eloise Bennett Taylor of Valdosta; one son and daughter in law, Carl & Rita Taylor, one grandson, Derrick Taylor all of Ft. Collins, CO; sister, Gertrude Phillips, Lynchburg, VA; special nephew and his wife, Joe & Caron Herndon, Corpus Christi, TX; one step-son and his wife, Irvin & Berta Bennett, one step-daughter and her husband, Judy & Chris Edwards, Valdosta; special nephew, Tim Coleman, Lynchburg, VA; several step-grandchildren, nieces & nephews.

Memorial services will be held Wednesday, May 16, 2007 at 11 a.m. in the Carson McLane Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Doug Griner officiating.
