Horace W. "Cowboy" Adams

Horace W. "Cowboy"Adams, 70, of Lake Park, died on Saturday, November 02, 2013 at the Langdale Hospice House following a lengthy illness. He was born on September 8, 1943 in Statenville, Georgia to the late Claude and Ruth Wright Adams and has been a resident of this area his whole life. Mr. Adams was of the Church of God faith.

Survivors include his girlfriend, Anne Meyer of Valdosta; his brothers, Leonard Adams of Denver, Colorado, Hilton Adams of Valdosta; sister, Mary Mitchell of Apopka, Florida; sister and brother-in-law, Julia and David Hart of Tallahassee, Florida; brother and sister-in-law, Phillip and Donna Adams of New Smyrna Beach, Florida; brothers, Samuel Adams of Quitman and Claude Adams of Lake Park; sisters, Wanda Day and Sonya Easters both of Valdosta; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Adams.

Services for Horace Adams will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, November 4, 2013 in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home with Rev. Raymond Gabbard officiating. The burial will follow in the Redland Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
