Hilda H. Singletary

Hilda H. Singletary, 89, of Lake Park died Thursday, November 4, 2010 at Lakehaven Nursing Home. She was born on August 8, 1921 in Lowndes County to the late W. D. and Ola Peterson Herring. Mrs. Singletary was a homemaker, a member of Lake Park Christian Church, worked at the Lake Park Post Office, the KOA Campground and was a seamstress.

She is survived by two daughters and one son in law, Ina and Jimmy Young of Jacksonville, FL, Sara Moore of Tifton, one grandson and his wife, Sean and April Corbett of Tifton, one great grandson, Blane Corbett of Tifton, one great granddaughter, Taylor Corbett of Tifton, numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Singletary is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, James M. Singletary, three brothers and three sisters.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 6, 2010 at eleven a. m. at the McLane Lakewood Funeral Home in Lake Park with Reverend Aubrey Bussell officiating. Burial will follow in Lake Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 7:30 p. m. Friday at the funeral home.
