Herman Wade Lindsey, Sr.

Herman Wade Lindsey, Sr., 84, of Valdosta, died on Monday, April 7, 2025, at his residence following a lengthy illness. He was born on June 26, 1940, in Troy, Alabama to the late Robert Earl and Jewell Rolling Lindsey. Mr. Lindsey had served for over 20 years as the Customer Service Manager for Sears in several locations in the southeast and later worked in sales for various agricultural agencies. He was a member of the Park Avenue Church where he was involved with the Christian Homebuilders Sunday school class, the Wednesday morning men’s prayer group, and serving as an Usher.

Mr. Lindsey is survived by his wife, Sandra Lindsey of Valdosta; two daughters and sons-in-law, Pam and Ben Reaves of Social Circle, Georgia and Carol and Les Charles of Milledgeville, Georgia; his son and daughter-in-law, Wade, Jr., and Angie Lindsey of Troy, Alabama; his grandchildren and their spouses, Ben and Ashely Reaves of Roswell, Georgia, Brittney and Kirklan Moore of Flowery Branch, Georgia, Caleb and Hillary Reaves of Holly Springs, Georgia, Mary Margaret and Billy Bob Watt of Ft. Worth, Texas, Christina and Lyle Jones of Athens, Georgia, Robert Lindsey and Wyatt Lindsey both of Troy, Alabama; his great-grandchildren, Silas Reaves, Riley Reaves, Hayden Moore, Braxton Moore, Preston Reaves, John Lawrence Reaves, Georgia Watt, WR Watt, and Leslie Watt.

A special thank you to Miranda, Latrell, and everyone from Hospice of South Georgia who took such excellent care of Daddy over these last several months.

A memorial service for Herman Wade Lindsey, Sr., will be held on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, at 11 a.m. at the Park Avenue Church with Rev. Jimmy Towson and Rev. Jamie Bone officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, make donations to Park Avenue Methodist Church or Hospice of South Georgia.
