Herman Lee Brown

Herman Lee Brown, 78, of Hahira died Monday, January 4, 2016 at his home under the care of Bethany Hospice. He was born in Cook County on September 18, 1937 to the late Otis and Zetta Lee Cady Brown and had lived in this area all of his life. Mr. Brown had a love for the Lord Jesus Christ; visits from his children and grandchildren; laughing with his friends; tending to his cattle; and playing with his beloved dog, Tucker. He was self-employed for 31 years owning Woodbrite Chemical Company.
After a long battle with Parkinson's Disease, Mr. Brown is survived by his wife of nearly 52 years, Susan Leola (Su Su) Rogers Brown; their children all of Lowndes County, Chris and Christy Brown, Mickie and Derald Jones, Ashley and Norma Brown, Justin and Tracee Brown, Kevin Brown, Susan and Jeff Harper; their grandchildren; Zach Brown, Joshua and Danielle Beebe, John Austin Fisher, Anna Fisher, Colleen Wood, Chrissy Wood, Ethan Brown, Olivia Brown, Maddox Brown, Christian Brown, Matt and Fayris Francis, Cullen Harper, Hayden Harper; his brother and sisters in law, Otis, Jr. and Mary Ann Brown of Hahira, Allene Brown of Nashville and an abundance of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Otis and Zetta Lee Cady Brown; brother, Carlton Brown of Nashville, sisters and brothers in law, Hattie and William Jones of Adel, Kathleen and Earl Patterson of Adel, Velma Brown of Adel and his nephew, Mike Patterson of Valdosta.
Funeral services will be held at 2pm, Thursday, January 7, 2016 in the chapel of the Martin/McLane Funeral Home with Rev. Raymond Cason officiating. Burial will follow in the Friendship Cemetery.
