Herman J. Futch

HERMAN J. FUTCH, 79, of Hahira died Tuesday, August 8, 2006 at South Georgia Medical Center. He was born on October 15, 1926 in Pell City, Alabama to the late Lacy E., Sr. and Jewel Ray Wright Futch. He enjoyed good coffee, banana pudding, western omelets, walking on the beach and his laptop computer. He was a member of the Cokesbury United Methodist Church and the Metro Daylight Lodge #743 F& AM in Atlanta. He made generous bequests to the Shriners Hospital and the Daylight Lodge. He was preceded in death by a sister, Virginia Futch and three brothers, L. E. Futch, Jr., James Futch and Julian Futch.

Survivors include his brother and sister in law, Robert and Lawanna Futch of Echols County, nieces and nephews, Marcia Futch Jordan, Matt Futch, Rusty Futch Carol Blanton, Lisa Chitty and Judy Butler.

A special thanks to Dr. John Anderson for years of quality medical care and the wonderful staff at Crestwood Nursing Home for making his last days comfortable.

Graveside services will be held at 1pm, Thursday, August 10, 2006 at Sunset Hill Cemetery with the Rev. David Jordan and the Rev. Ken Morgan officiating.
