Herbert Warren, 77, a resident of Valdosta, passed away on Sunday, May 19, 2024, at Langdale Hospice House. Born in Nashville, GA on December 27, 1946, Herbert dedicated his life to hard work and perseverance.
Growing up in Nashville, he attended Berrien County High School before embarking on a career that showcased his strong work ethic. Starting his working life in construction which lead to driving a truck, which he continued throughout his career until retirement in the early 2000s.
In his retirement, Herbert continued to stay active with his family and enjoying the outdoors by hunting and fishing with friends and family.
Herbert is survived by his son, Neil and Alison Warren, of Valdosta, Jody Warren of Valdosta, daughter, Amber and Bryan Reno, of Lake Park, GA, son Carter Warren, Fayetteville, NC; grandchildren, Lyndsay (& Jonathan) Kendrick, of Crawfordville, Fl, Haley (& Chandler) Loper, of Dallas, GA, McKenzie Warren, of Adel, Brock Warren, of Valdosta, Kendyl Warren, of Valdosta, Eden Warren, of Nashville, Emma Warren, of Adel; great grandchildren, Elijah Reyes and Malachi Warren. He is also survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Gene and Faye Warren, of Nashville; sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and John Hodges; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his father and stepmother, Leon and Flonnie Bell Warren, and his mother and stepfather, Jeannett Mathis Southall and Frank Southall.
A graveside service will be held at 10am on Friday, May 24, 2024, at Carter Cemetery with Brother Joey Castleberry officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6-8pm at the McLane Lakewood Funeral Home.
