Henry Grudzien

Henry Grudzien, 91, of Valdosta died Saturday, April 19, 2014 at his home. Born in Krakow, Poland on May 13, 1922 he served with the Polish resistance during WWII. Mr. Grudzien taught high school in Atlanta and later in Valdosta where he was an avid Wildcat fan. He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.

Preceded in death by his wife, Martha Ellen Hatcher Grudzien, he is survived by a daughter, Elizabeth Tracey Grudzien of Orange Park, Florida.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with burial to follow in Sunset Hill Cemetery. A rosary will be held at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at the Carson McLane Funeral Home with visitation to follow the rosary. Condolences may be made online at www.mclanecares.com.
