Henry F. Griffin

Henry F. Griffin, 93, of Barney died Saturday, January 24, 2015 at Langdale Hospice House. He was born in Norman Park, GA on November 4, 1921 to the late Joshua and Lilly Bell Smith Griffin. Mr. Griffin retired from the Jacksonville, FL Transportation Authority and was a member of Morningside Baptist Church.
Survivors include his daughter, Phyllis Marguerite Griffin of Tampa, FL; his son, H. Gary Griffin of Callahan, FL; two grandsons, Scott Griffin and Kenneth Griffin and his wife, Ashley; three great grandchildren, Brandon Griffin, Hannah Griffin and Chalker Griffin; his brother, Edsel Griffin of Barney. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marguerite Gay Griffin; a daughter, Norma Griffin; a daughter in law, Betty Griffin; five brothers, Bryant Griffin, Wilson Griffin, Harvey Griffin, Joshua Lee Griffin, Jr. and Harrison Griffin and three sisters, Lois Griffin Springer, Christine Griffin Spooner and Constance Griffin Surrett.
Funeral services will be held at 2pm, Saturday, January 31, 2015 in the chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home with Dr. Wayne Robertson officiating. Burial will follow in the Campground Cemetery in Morven. The family will receive friends on Friday from 6-8pm at the Carson McLane Funeral Home.
