Hellen Marie Woodruff

Hellen Marie Woodruff, 62, of Valdosta died Saturday, April 25, 2009 at South Georgia Medical Center. She was born in Echols County on June 18, 1946 to Geneva McLean Moore and the late Thomas James Moore and was a lifelong resident of this area. Mrs. Woodruff was a member of the Bemiss Road Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Randall Woodruff of Valdosta, two sons and a daughter in law, Dane Woodruff of Orlando, Fla., Michael and Robyn Woodruff of Valdosta, three grandchildren, Blake Woodruff, Jarred Woodruff and Brooklyn Woodruff all of Valdosta, her mother, Geneva Moore of Valdosta, four sisters and three brothers in law, Juanita and Ralph Daugharty of Howell, Bobbie Roberts, Eva and Grover Cox all of Jacksonville, Fla. and Reida and Robert Johnson of Stockton, two brothers and sisters in law, Thomas J. and Angela Moore, Terry and Frances Moore all of Valdosta, parents in law, Virginia and Bill Woodruff of Mayday, sisters in law and brothers in law, Julianna Woodruff of Shreveport, LA., Jerry and Katherine Strickland of Baxley, Norman and Carol Strickland, Bobby Woodruff all of Mayday. She was preceded in death by her father, Tom Moore, a sister, Ann Dell Knowles and brother in law, Carroll Roberts

Funeral services will be held at 4pm, Tuesday, April 28, 2009 in the chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home with Dr. Danny Edwards officiating. Burial will follow in the Macedonia Cemetery in Echols County. The family will receive friends on Monday from 6-8pm at the funeral home.
