Helen Kirk Grizzell

Helen Kirk Grizzell, 85, of Valdosta died Saturday, October 20, 2007 at her home. She was born on June 10, 1922 in Valdosta to the late James Edward, Sr. and Mary Speight Prince Kirk and was a lifelong resident of Valdosta. Mrs. Grizzell was a member of the First Baptist Church and a retired sales clerk with W. T. Grant Company and Girardin’s Jewelry.

Survivors include her daughter and son in law, Mary Alice and Lee Cook of Decatur, Georgia, two grandchildren and their spouses, Liz and Barry McNeal of Wylie, TX., Russ and Barbara Cook of Charlotte, NC., five great grandchildren, Megan McNeal, Shawn McNeal, Xan Cook, Katie Cook and Kylie Cook and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Elliott Grizzell, her brother, Ed Kirk and her sister, Mary Poindexter.
