Helen (Fainsy) Mcclure

Helen (Fainsy) Branch McClure, 90, of Valdosta died Sunday, August 27, 2017 at her home. She was born on March 4, 1927 in Albany, Georgia to the late Trent Clarke and Lena Jenkins Branch and had lived in Valdosta for many years. Mrs. McClure was member of Christ Episcopal Church and a graduated of Peabody College.
Survivors include her daughter and son in law, Emily M. Newbern and George Newbern, Searcy D. McClure, III and Tina McClure all of Valdosta; her grandchildren, Trent and Courtney Matthews, Kelley Matthews, Searcy Matthews IV, Clarke Stone McClure and Malory Lee Gunter, Katie and John Giles, John and Stacie Newbern, George and Sarah Newbern; her great grandchildren, Peyton Matthews, Palmer Matthews, Morgan McClure, Margeoux Fainsy-June McClure, Caroline Giles, Phillip Giles, Judy Kate Newbern, Emory Newbern, Kierra Newbern. She was preceded in death by her husband, Searcy D. McClure, Jr. and a son, William Clarke McClure.
Funeral services will be held at 2pm, Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at Christ Episcopal Church with Rev. Dr. Dave Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
