Hazel Touchton Forte

December 25, 1931 — January 10, 2013

Hazel Touchton Forte, 81, of Barney died Thursday, January 10, 2013 at her home. She was born on December 25, 1931 in Cook County to the William McKinley (Mack) and Effie Futch Touchton and had lived in this area all of her life. Mrs. Forte was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a member of the Pleasant Primitive Baptist Church in Berrien County.

Survivors include her husband, Bobby Forte of Barney, her daughter, Susan Forte of Adel, her son and daughter in law, Charles and Carol Ann Forte of Barney, her grandchildren, Chris (Angie) Forte of Barney, Julie Rogers of Adel, four great grandsons, Cole Rogers, Caleb Rogers, Cody Forte and Case Forte.

Funeral services will be held at 2pm, Sunday, January 13, 2013 in the chapel of Martin/McLane Funeral Home with Elder Thad Marshall and Elder Tony Marshall officiating. Burial will follow in the Friendship Cemetery in Hahira. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 6-8pm at the funeral home.
