Harry Joseph O’Toole, 68 of Quitman, died on Thursday, November 03, 2005 at South Georgia Medical Center. Born on March 8, 1937 in Cincinnati, OH, he was the son of Angela McDonald O’Toole of Cincinnati and the late Harry O’Toole. Mr. O’Toole had been employed as a Firefighter and a Charter Tour Bus Driver. He was a veteran in the United States Navy and of the Catholic faith. He was a member of the Lions Club in Leigh acres, FL and loved to collect firefighter memorabilia. He loved his grandchildren and loved to make people laugh.
Survivors are his wife, Barbara O’Toole of Quitman; three sons and one daughter-in-law, Tim and Diana O’Toole of Stafford, VA, Ronald Silvey and Robert Silvey both of Sumter, SC; two daughters and sons-in-law, Ann and Dave Henderson of Stafford, VA, Sueann and David Smith of Cabot, AR; eight grandchildren, Kelly O’Toole, Jake O’Toole, Rileigh O’Toole, Victoria Silvey, Elizabeth Silvey, Rebecca Smith, Jaret Smith and Kaley Henderson; four sisters, Peggy Presta, Patti O’Toole, both of Cincinnati, Maureen Esposito of Naples, FL, Eileen O’Toole of Semi Valley, CA; and three brothers, Danny O’Toole of Glenco, KY, Denny O’Toole and Tommy O’Toole both of Cincinnati. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Kathy O’Toole and a brother, Terry O’Toole.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, November 5, 2005 in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 12:00 p.m. until service time.
