Harry G. Londry, 83, of Valdosta died on Saturday, August 06, 2016 at Langdale Hospice House. He was surrounded by his family who he cared for deeply. He was born on April 22, 1933 in Barre, Vermont to the late Harry Leon and Gladys Keith Londry. Mr. Londry was a veteran of the United States Army and served his country honorably during the Korean War. He was retired from Roadway as a truck driver and was the owner/operator of DMK Properties. Mr. Londry was a member of the Knights of Columbus, the American Legion, and loved boating, swimming, playing poker and was a frequent cribbage player. He also loved to be surrounded by his family and was a loving and devoted husband and father. He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Cecile Londry of Valdosta; a daughter and son-in-law, Brenda Patera and Steve Patera of Valdosta; a son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Miriam Londry of Charlotte, North Carolina; two daughters, Cheryl Londry and Dannielle Londry both of Valdosta; 8 grandchildren and their spouses, Michelle and Robert Leh, Ryan and Seantel Londry, Mark Patera and his girlfriend Alayna Swindle, Jared and Katheryn Londry, Brian Patera and fiancé Abbie Wood, Matthew and Beverly Patera, Jeffery Londry-Leet, and Austin Ellis; 8 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Patricia McCreedy.
Services for Harry G. Londry will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with Fr. Brian LaBurt officiating. The burial will follow in the McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Carson McLane Funeral Home.
