HARRY EDWARD ALEXANDER, 79, of Hahira died Sunday, November 14, 2004 at South Georgia Medical Center. He was born on November 18, 1924 in Easley, SC to the late Joseph Crayton and Ellen Holcombe Alexander and had lived in this area for several years. Mr. Alexander was a veteran of the U. S. Navy and the U. S. Coast Guard having served in World War II and was a Baptist.
Survivors include three daughters and two sons in law, Connie and Jr. Brown of Hahira, Ann Melton of Liberty, SC., Joan and Gene Stanley of Brevard, NC., his grandchildren, Michael and Lacherisa Prairie of Valdosta, Kevin and Kari Brown of Hahira, Pam and Lee Clements, Johnny and Holly Melton all of Liberty, SC., Sandra Major, Stephen Major, Scott Major all of Brevard, NC., Sabrina and Joey Carter of Pickens, SC., 10-great grandchildren, 1-Great Great Grandchild, one brother and sister in law, Lee and Nan Alexander of Greenville, SC. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ethel Christine Bryant Alexander, one son, Michael Ray Bryant, son in law, Norman Melton and one brother, Elmer Alexander and one sister, Laura Rochester.
Graveside services will be held at 11am, Wednesday, November 17, 2004 at Riverview Memorial Gardens with the Rev. R. T. Castleberry officiating.
