Harold Ramsey Hammond

January 22, 1930 — October 14, 2021

Chief Master Sergeant Harold Ramsey Hammond, 91, of Valdosta passed away Thursday, October 14, 2021 at Langdale Hospice House. He was the only heir of Harvey and Eula Ramsey Hammond of Campbell, MO. Mr. Hammond was preceded in death by Sergeant P. J. Hammond and Sherri Haans and beloved daughter in law, Barbara McBride Hammond. Survivors include his wife, Martha Hammond, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Chief Hammond served in the USAF for thirty years during Korea and Vietnam. He served in aircraft maintenance on a B52-KC 135-C140 Hustler B17, covering Japan, Greenland, Thailand, Spain, Guam, Iceland and other state side bases. Chief Hammond was an avid handball and racketball player. He had a great love for cars.
