Gretchen Naomi Haynes, 30, of Valdosta, GA passed Monday, November 8, 2010. She was born in Hahira, GA on July 19, 1980. Gretchen was a horticulturist and a member of Bethany Baptist Church. She was a graduate of Lowndes County High School and Valdosta Technical College.

Gretchen is survived by her daughter, Layla S. Haynes of Ray City, GA, her parents, Dale and Ann Haynes of Menands, NY, two brothers and one sister in law, Douglas and Sonia Haynes of Yonkers, NY and Chandler Haynes of Menands, NY, one sister, Monica Haynes of Ray City, GA, one nephew, Gabriel Haynes of Yonkers, NY and several aunts and uncles. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, William and Sarah Haynes and Ellis and Florence Olliff.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 13, 2010 at two p. m. at the Martin McLane Funeral Home in Hahira with Mr. Paul Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Campground Cemetery. The family will receive friends from six until eight p. m. Friday at the funeral home. Condolences to the family may be expressed online at www.mclanefuneralservices.com.
