Gregory L. (Greg) Shealy, 53, of Valdosta, died Saturday, February 26, 2005 at South Georgia Medical Center after a sudden illness. He was born on July 20, 1951 in Hickory, NC to the late Leonard Fulmer and Martha Jo Abernethy Shealy. Mr. Shealy was co-owner and operator of VCOM, retired from the United States Air Force after twenty two years of service, a member of the American Legion and the Outback Riders.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Shealy of Valdosta, one son, Bryan L. Shealy of Valdosta, one daughter and son in law, Billie Jo and Chris Jones of Valdosta, one brother and sister in law, Bryan and Kathy Shealy of Rome, GA, grandchildren, Todd Shealy, Charlene Ross, Anthony Ross, Jay, Micheal and Nancy. Mr. Shealy is preceded in death by one daughter, Bobbi Jo and one brother, Eric Shealy.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 1, 2005 at two p. m. in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home with Pastor Buddy Cherry officiating. Military rites and Entombment will be at Riverview Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p. m. Monday at the funeral home.
